It was with great sadness, that I heard, that Vili has passed away. When I visited Millie and Vili in Calgary a few years ago, it was a wonderful time in Canada. I have very happy memorys of Vili. He will always have a place in my heart and he always will be "Vili - the magnificent"!

Hi Vili.     I am sad to hear about your Dad.  I  remember how happy and proud he was to watch you play volleyball at Pen Hi.  I remember his dignity, kindness and smile.

I'm just having a Pilsner Beer and think about good old days when we were both unemployed in Penticton and played tennis almost every day. You almost always beat me. Then we went home and had a couple of cold ones while our wives were working. We will miss you. Thanks for sponsoring my family to come to Canada.                                Hrabanek family.

Sad news. You had a wonderful life and touched many people with your gregarious nature. I will never forget how welcome you made me feel when I first visited Vili, you and your wife, when Vili and I were still at UBC. You treated me like a member of the family instantly. Rest in Peace.

Uncle, You were a terrific Uncle. We shared many laughes together. My kids always talk about how you made fun of Ovechkin. I know now you are in Heaven having many pivos with your brothers!!!! RIP Strejdo until we meet again!

Liebe Millie, lieber Vili jr. und Familie, wir sind sehr erschrocken und traurig, dass unser lieber Cousin gestorben ist. Wir hätten ihn so gern persönlich kennen gelernt! Melanie konnte uns ja, nachdem sie euch besucht hatte, einiges von euch erzählen. Dadurch konnten wir uns gut vorstellen, was für ein lieber, wunderbarer Mensch Vili gewesen sein muss!  Wir haben per Post eine Trauerkarte an Millie geschickt, die hoffentlich in den nächsten Tagen ankommen wird. Schade, dass er nicht wieder gesund geworden ist. Für Millie viel Kraft in dieser schweren Zeit!
