Violet Frey

Vi, as she was known to her family and friends, leaves to cherish her memory, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews, as well as great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father John, her mother Katharina (Goehring), brothers Alvin, Arthur, Edward, and Herbert, and her sisters, Bertha (Grabinsky), Martha, and Pauline (Lemke).

Vi came to Calgary from Leader, Saskatchewan in the 1940’s and upon completing secretarial college she went on to a successful career in the oil & gas industry from which she retired in 1985. In 2021 she moved from her home to The Edgemont Revera where she spent her last years. Vi was a veracious reader and she loved to travel and play the organ. She was an avid golfer, she curled, and enjoyed theatre.

Cremation will be in the care of Foster's Garden Chapel, with Interment to take place in Leader, Saskatchewan. At Vi’s request, no service will be held.
