Wanda was an amazing nurse and friend.  She was loved by her patients and colleagues at the South Health Campus Day Surgery/Short Stay Unit.  She always came to work with a smile and words of encouragement for her team mates.  During her time as nurse clinician,  everyone looked forward to Wanda's daily words of affirmation.   She was always such a professional,  a friend and mentor to her fellow nurses and unwavering in the kindness and compassion she showed to her patients.   She will be missed by us all.  
My sincere condolences to her family on this very sad loss.  The world will be a little less bright without Wanda.   

We were so sorry to hear of Wanda's passing . She was such a wonderful person. Wanda and I got reacquainted when Mom and I flew out to visit Aunty Irene. We had great visits together. Wanda was so good to call Mom and she would call me from time to time too.
It was no nice to chat and we would get caught up on family news. She was so proud of Dennis and Katelyn and their accomplishments. She thought the world of them. We are glad she is at peace but we will miss her! The funeral service was very nice. Katelyn and Dennis you did a wonderful job and  gave a lovely tribute .  We enjoyed all the  loving comments from her family and friends. Our deepest sympathy to Dennis(Erin), Katelyn(Murray) , Kevin , Kathy , Della, Cindy and all her nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

I am Wanda’s cousin Colleen.  I have some fun memories of spending Remembrance Day in Willow Bunch together with Wanda, Della and cousin Kathy. I was always excited to hear that Uncle Harry and Aunty Irene were coming to town, as that meant I would see my cousins and we would have a fun time together while our parents were at the Legion supper and dance. 
I know Wanda was a light in so many lives, including my moms, her Aunty Olga.  Wanda was so proud of her children, and she would always send pictures of Dennis and Katelyn which mom would share with our family. They had many phone conversations and got updates on family.  I know they had a very special connection and that mom prayed for her always. 
I was grateful to have been able to watch Wanda’s memorial service.  It was so nice to hear all the heartwarming comments and stories from people who’s lives she touched.  Dennis and Katelyn, you spoke so well of your beautiful mom.  Her big heart is sure to live on in both of you. 
I send my heartfelt sympathy to Dennis (Erin), Katelyn (Murray), Kevin & Kathy, Della and Cindy and all of your families. May you find strength at this difficult time knowing that Wanda is at peace.

We remember Wanda as a cheerful, kind and uplifting person.  The remarks  by many at her service show she uplifted the lives of many others. Our deepest sympathies go out to her children Dennis and Katelyn, her siblings  Della,  Kevin and his wife Kathy, and to her sister-in-law Cindy and to all their families.  Wanda kept in close contact with our Mom, Olga,   her Mom’s sister, Mom enjoyed her phone calls and just a few days before  her death Wanda told Mom she was planning to come to visit. Since Mom kept us informed about Wanda all our family got to  know her better.  

Wanda is joining Kim in heaven 😇 their kind and gentle souls laid to rest 💕 in peace 😇...Wanda forever in my heart ❤️ our family will never forget you💞So sorry for your loss 😔just remember no one can ever take her from your hearts  💞

Deepest condolences to Wanda’s family. I absolutely loved working with Wanda and we had such fun times on shift together, renewing our BLS over cookies & tea at her home, and at our impromptu “safety meetings”. She was always willing to share with us her wise expertise and was so supportive of her colleagues and patients. Her door was always opened when she took over as Clinician of our unit and I always felt comfortable going to her in confidence. I was one of the lucky ones who got to enjoy her homemade pickles, they were truly the best. Cherish the wonderful memories. My heart goes out to all who knew and loved her.

Dear Dennis & Katelyn and family,

I only had the pleasure of meeting Wanda a few times and I'll remember her has being incredibly kind, welcoming and hospitable. 

I think life's true success isn't making your parents proud, but being proud of the children you raise. I know Wanda was and is so so proud of you both. Her love and care raised two incredible individuals. While I wish I knew Wanda better, I think her memory lives on through your successes, friendships, and the people you have become through the character she instilled in you.

We are thinking and praying for you in this difficult time, as you say your goodbyes. I know your mom will be missed dearly and it was far to early to have to let her go.

My dear Dennis, Katelyn, family and all those who loved her...
The Wanda I remember was hard-working,  stable, realistic,
Funny and happy.
The 1st time I met Wanda (with Philip) in Calgary I remember 
thinking how beautiful and caring she was.  Always a smile with
those gorgeous dimples.
Wanda chose a life of serving through nursing.  Dedicated to
helping others, this beautiful soul eventually faltered at life's
challenges.  She tried but could not help herself and became a lost
soul.
Life is tough.  We all have our frailties and flaws and handle life
as best we can.  Our emotions lead us on different paths.
We cannot judge another's path/trek as we have not traveled that road.  The despair Wanda suffered from personal losses affected her
greatly.
A life cut short...too young.  My consolation is that her demons have
been put to rest and her suffering has ceased.
Wanda left the best of herself behind in her beloved children

We are sorry to hear of Wanda's passing. It has been more than a few years since we would meet up with Wanda at the rink to watch our boys play hockey against one another. One of our favorite memories was watching some Battle of Alberta playoff series together 3+ decades ago. To Wanda's immediate family, our thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time.

So sorry to learn of Wanda's sudden death. I have such vivid memories of a spirited and cheerful youngster. Our lives diverged over the years but I did get a chance to re-connect with her several years ago at an Uncle's funeral in Moose Jaw.

So many good memories of Auntie Wanda (a.k.a Garlic Momma) and the many Hall family get togethers over the years.  She was always the busiest one in the house making sure to help out continuously with the food or cleaning up after everyone.  Her presence made every get together better and more special for everyone.  I’ll miss your smiling face and of course your pickled garlic.   I truly hope that the pain and anguish you have been suffering through for the past years is gone and that you truly do rest in peace.  XOXO

I am so sorry to hear about Wanda’s passing. She loved her job as a nurse but she loved being a Mother more. Family was was everything to her! She looked so forward to family get togethers. Her children, her siblings and her extended family was everything to her. You all have another special angel watching over you!

Wanda was in my life for over 40 years in those years we shared many happy and sad times.. She was a kind compassionate soul and her Children and husband were her life.. if you were ever lucky enough to be gifted a jar of Wanda’s Dill Pickles you know what I’m talking about.. They were to die for.. Everyone I know loved her dimples and laughter.. WANDA you will be the most caring Angel in Heaven once again wrapping your wings around all your loved ones
