Ying was born in Hoiping (Kaiping), China. She and her husband along with their three sons immigrated to Canada in 1974. The Seto family settled in Calgary, the city they would call home, later that year. Ying was very dedicated to family and her boys always came home after school to fresh baked cookies, cakes and a homemade meal. She loved to cook, garden, knit, walk and socialize with friends. A familiar face when shopping in the morning at Market Mall she would greet many friends and acquaintances with a smile and a wave. Ying will be remembered by her kindness and generosity; her infectious smile and laugh will be missed by all of us.
Ying is survived by her husband Kuen; sons Chun Kau, Chun Hung(Laurie) and Chun Fai (May); as well as her grandchildren Jenice, Kendra, Marcus and Megan. She is predeceased by her parents Kee and Sue Ho Chow as well as her brothers Seh-Fun Chow and Peter Chow.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff, doctors and nurses of the Emergency Department, Unit 46 and Unit A of ICU at the Foothills Hospital for their compassionate care and dedication.
