With sadness and heavy hearts, we announce that Deborah Susan Bouskill has passed away on July 15, 2016 in her 53rd year. Deborah was a special person who was very kind towards the less fortunate, often cooking meals for them, and even welcoming them into her home. In her spare time, she liked to read and complete crosswords. She excelled as an athlete, playing hockey, lacrosse, and fishing. Her family was very important to her. Deborah will be remembered for her great sense of humour and the unique, personal connection she developed with each person who knew her. Left behind to treasure her memory are her son Jesse Brandford, mother Loretta Bouskill, step-mother Maryann Hammond, sister Wendi, brothers Kevin (Julie) and William, step-brother Jason, and her nephews Christopher, Trevor, Joe, and Cliff. Deborah was predeceased by her grandparents Clarence and Rose Adelle Bouskill, and Grace and Cliff Culbert, her father Lawrence Bouskill, brother-in-law Chris, and many friends. Relatives and friends will be received at Barthel Funeral Home (566 Queenston Rd. Cambridge, Ontario) on Wednesday, July 20 for a visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A celebration of Deborah’s life will follow from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Cambridge & District Humane Society to commemorate Deborah’s love for animals. The family would like to extend their thanks to the doctors and nurses on the 5th Floor ICU at Brantford General Hospital for the care and compassion they showed to Deborah, and to all friends and family for your support at this difficult time.
