It is with great sadness that we announce that Dick passed away peacefully, at Stirling Heights LTC, on Friday, November 19th, at the age 84.

Beloved husband of Ann. Loving father of Paul (Kathy) Sutton, Mike Sutton, and Laurie (Mark) Gaebel and step-father of Angela (Gus) Volpe and Arlene (Andy) Pownall, and proud Papa/Pa of Sara (Scott), Sandra, Jadelyn (Matt), Natalie, Nicolas (Jasmine), Alexis (Ryan), and Liam (Karissa) and great-grandpa of Parker and Nakina.

He will also be lovingly remembered by his brother Bob (Sheila) Sutton, sister Rita Sutton, brothers-in-law Ed Huddleston, Raymond Whittet (Helen), sisters-in-law Isabel and Jean (Scott), and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends - especially Alec and Jean Wilson and Bett Wilson.

Dick was born on January 14, 1937 in Galt, Ontario to Parents Ernie and Doris Sutton. Dick was a twin brother with Bob and had 5 other siblings. When he was younger he loved coaching and volunteering in Minor baseball and hockey. Dicks greatest love was spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dick retired after more that 33 years of service at Allen-Bradley in 1992. He loved to take pictures and video family events. At most special occasions, he was the 'man behind the camera'. Everyone remembers him as a very kind and gentle person with a great sense of humour. Our family wish to thank all of their friends and neighbours who have been there to support them over the last few years, the Sunnyside Adult Day Program, and the staff of Stirling Heights for their compassionate care.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and the Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held at Central Presbyterian Church, 7 Queen's Square, Cambridge on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. All guests must show proof of two full doses of vaccination and photo ID to attend, provide contact information, wear a face covering , and follow the instructions of the funeral home staff.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
