Donna Marie Uttley

Donna was the loving mother of Brian Uttley, Jo-Anne Stuart, and the late David Uttley (1971). She was a cherished grandmother of Kaitlyn Stuart (Matt Slawich) and Jacquelyn Stuart-Ruppert (Jordan Ruppert). She also leaves behind great-granddaughters Isabelle Ruppert and Emma Ruppert. She will be missed by her brothers Art Mitchell and Bill Mitchell.

She is now reunited with her beloved husband Myles Uttley (2009), her son David, and her brother Wayne Mitchell. Donna was also predeceased by her son-in-law Craig Stuart (2025).

Donna grew up in the small town of Exeter, Ontario, working on her parents’ farm. In her twenties, she met her future husband Myles after he played saxophone at a local dance and offered her a lift home. That one car ride turned into a life-long partnership, and they were married in 1956.

Donna loved crafting, especially sewing and embroidery. She enjoyed smocking dresses for her grandchildren, and sewing teddy bears for people in need of comfort. She poured her heart into her creations and loved the joy of sharing them.

Donna’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the staff at Park Lane Terrace for the care, compassion, and support shown to her during her time there.

Donna's life will be celebrated on April 18th, 2026. Visitation will take place at Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will follow at Parklawn Cemetery, 750 Fountain Street North. After the burial, friends and loved ones are invited to join the family for a reception at the funeral home.
