Elsie Ward passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the age of 84. Elsie was born in Liverpool, England and moved to Canada in 1955. Elsie enjoyed travelling, listening to music, and spending time with her family, especially the children. Elsie’s family would like to express their deepest appreciation for the wonderful love and care provided by the staff at Riverbend Place over the past 11 years. Elsie will be lovingly remembered by her sister Florence Richardson and many nieces and nephews in Cambridge, Guelph, Edmonton, and San Remo, Australia. She was predeceased by five sisters and one brother. Cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Anglican Church (567 Queenston Rd. Cambridge, ON). As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Riverbend Place through Barthel Funeral Home (519-653-3251) to support social activities for the residents.
