

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Joan Isabel Weiler on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the age of 77. She is reunited in heaven with her husband of 50 years, James F. Weiler. Joan was a resident of Cambridge for over 60 years. She is survived by her children Mary Eileen (Peter) Ruetz of Mildmay, Jacqueline (Christopher) MacIntosh of Palmerston, and Joseph Weiler of Cambridge, cherished grandchildren Zachary, Nicole, and Rachelle Ruetz, and her adored dog Isabel. Dearly beloved sister of Lloyd (Liz [d. 2017]) Gadke, Betty Jean (Keith) Quigley, Bryan (Carol) Gadke, Bernice (Ron) Wilson, and Bill (Brandy) Jones. Forever remembered by her sister-in-law and special best friend Sally (Norm) Keelan, many nieces and nephews, the whole Weiler Family, and many friends. Joan was predeceased by her parents Frederick and Bessie Jean Gadke, her siblings Catherine Jones (1979), Marjorie (2014) (Andy [2018]) Schlesak, and her twin brother Frederick (in infancy). Friends and relatives are invited to a Memorial Mass at St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, November 30th at 11:00 am. Cremation will follow, with interment of her urn at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Mildmay, Ontario on May 18, 2020. The family would like to thank the LHIN and the dedicated nursing staff of the 4th floor at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cambridge Memorial Hospital.
