Born to Lucie and Oliver Boulé in 1947, Joyce grew up and spent most of her life in Cambridge, Ontario. She worked as a bookkeeper for several small businesses in the region, spending nearly 20 years at Cambridge Garden Centre, where she retired in 2015.
Joyce had a love for travel – Italy, Scotland and Ireland were among her favourite destinations. She was also deeply committed to her twice-weekly Pilates practice, which she continued faithfully until her health no longer allowed it.
Those who knew Joyce would describe her as a loyal and generous friend and loved one, always willing to offer her support in whatever way she could.
Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Julie Scott and Michelle Scott (Osamu); her brother, Allan Boulé (Jeanne); her sister, Joyce Blaser (Werner); her nephews Christopher Boulé (Marcia) and Glen Boulé, and her niece, Lisa Wiltse (Ted).
Cremation has already taken place. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral service. Interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations made in Joyce’s memory to Lisaard House would be gratefully appreciated.
The family would like to thank the care coordinators, PSWs and nurses who supported Joyce’s care at home, and the incredible staff at Lisaard House for the exceptional and compassionate care they provided to Joyce in the final two weeks of her life.
