Margaret Jean McDonald

On Monday, January 22nd, 2018, Margaret Jean McDonald left this world to be together forever with the love of her life, her late husband Ross McDonald (2013). There, she is also reunited with her beloved sister, Patricia Neu (2013). Born in Cornwall, England, Margaret was a kind, caring, and generous woman who loved theater, shopping, and dining out. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed many vacations and adventures in her 83 years. Margaret was a faithful member of Knox Preston Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, singing in the choir and devoting countless hours to the children as a Sunday School teacher. Margaret will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Valerie Jorden (Bob) and Honey-Cat, brother Donald Chapman (Agnes), brother-in-law and best buddy Jake Neu, many nieces and nephews, and her dear friend and pen-pal in Torpoint, Cornwall, England, Cynthia Shewring, with whom she corresponded for 71 years. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. The family would like to offer special thanks to Jake Neu and family, and the many friends who devoted their time to care for Margaret. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Margaret’s memory would be appreciated.
