He was the much beloved husband of 36 years to Doris Cluthe, loving father to daughter Natalie Cluthe Piekarz (Nick), and son Bryan Cluthe (Desiree), and the cherished grandpa to Declan and Kellen. He will be deeply missed by his sister Charla Goodison (Peter), brother Mark Cluthe (Judy), nieces Jennifer Cluthe (David and their daughter), Samantha Cluthe (Kevin) of Ottawa, and Laura Pinheiro (Geoff and their children), nephew David Goodison (Jacklyn and their children) of Newmarket, father-in-law Uwe Kay of Lindsay, sisters-in-law Brigitte Kay of Lindsay, and Jackie Kay (Gary Weppler) of Linwood, aunt Shirley Reay, and his cousins Kelly, Lisa, and Jonathan of Kitchener. Paul was predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Margaret Cluthe.
Paul graduated from Conestoga College in 1983 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. He worked at Linamar Corporation in Guelph for 32 years. He was then the Operations Manager/General Manager at Autocom Manufacturing for 14 years. Paul was liked and respected by many of his friends and peers. He was easy-going and loved to make his children groan with laughter at his jokes, especially his “dad jokes.” His passions were camping, going to the drag races, and hanging out by his wood stove listening to albums with his best fur buddies Tyson and Layla, who will miss him immensely. His greatest joy was his pride and love for his family.
Cremation has taken place and a Visitation will be held at the Barthel Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 7th from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Proof of full vaccination, along with government-issued ID are mandatory to attend this indoor event for those age 12 and older. Masks are also required. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
“You will be forever loved and forever missed.”
