

Passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Sunday November 11, 2012 after a brief illness. Loving wife of the late A.E. (Ted) Butler (1998), and daughter of the late Thomas and Elfreda Tucker. Left to mourn are her daughters Jeannine (Ed) O’Neill of Cambridge and Paula (Bob) Pompa of Cole Harbour, NS, two grandchildren Robyn and Luke Pompa, step-grandson Lorne O’Neill (Lisa Faul) and their sons Brock and Zach as well as many nieces, nephews and friends in both Cambridge and Newfoundland. Jean was born in Burnt Point, Newfoundland and moved to St. John’s in her early years where she resided until she relocated to Cambridge in 2004, quickly settling in making many friends. Friends may call at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., today (Tuesday November 13th) from 7 to 9 p.m. Service to celebrate the life of Jean Butler will be held at Trillium United Church, 450 King St. E. on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Memorial Service and inurnment to be held at a later date in St. John’s Newfoundland. As expressions of sympathy donations to the charity of one’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
