Reta Marjorie Crane

Marj was born in Kenilworth, but spent almost all her life in Cambridge. She was always engaged in her community and served proudly with the Kinette’s and IODE for many years. She was an avid card player and loved to play Bridge with many friends. Marj was fiercly independent and active, walking through Riverside Park and the Cambridge Mall for many, many years. Her tenacity allowed her to remain a life-long Leafs fan, and most importantly, stay in her home until just days before she passed. She is the loved mother of Rick of Melbourne, Australia, Barb (Bob) of Stratford, Doug (Susan) of Cambridge, and Susan (Bob) of Kelowna, BC. She will be missed by her grandchildren Chris (Dana), Erin, Stacey (Sean), Todd (Lynne), and Spencer (Taylor). As blessings come, she was able to know and be loved by great-grandchildren Lauren, Madelyn, Lily, Elle, Maya, Max, Jack, Kiera, and Kailee. At Marj’s request, cremation has taken place. A private Memorial Service will be held, and she will be laid to rest at Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge, beside her husband. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Trillium United Church Senior’s Support Group would be appreciated.
