Ronald William Gingrich

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Ron passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Freeport Hospital at the age of 65, leaving behind his beautiful wife Betty of 42 years. Cherished Dad to Cindy Shaw (Andy) and Scott (Kelly). Ron will be sadly missed by loving grandchildren Jeremy Rees, Blake and Colby Shaw, Brittany, Scottie, and Fayth Gingrich, and Destiny Wilson. Survived by siblings Barb Parker (Brian), Russ (Kathi), Debbie Corriveau (Pat), and sister-in-law Lesley Lamb. Brother-in-law to Charlotte and Ray Campbell, Helen Isley (Bob Nickel), Gerald and Helen Isley, Fran and Judy Isley, and Larry Koehler. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, and a special family friend, Grace Daniels. Predeceased by his parents Bill and Ruth (nee Brethauer) Gingrich, brother Frank Daniels, father and mother-in-law Fred and Marjorie Isley, and sister-in-law Cathy Koehler.

The family will receive friends at the BARTHEL FUNERAL HOME, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, 519-653-3251 on Sunday, February 17th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Parish Prayers at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to be held at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, 10 St. Gregory’s Drive, Cambridge on February 18th, at 11 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to St. Mary’s Hospital c/o 3 East Wing or Grand River Hospital Foundation c/o Palliative Care at Freeport Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
