Ronald (Ron) Francis Durant

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving daughter Cathy Fischer and family at Saint Luke’s Place, Cambridge, Ontario on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the age of 84. Ron is survived by his four children, cherished grandchildren; Matt, Becky, Natalie, Candice, Michelle, Shawn, six great-grandchildren, sisters; Shirley (Chuck) and Sylvia and brother-in-law Earl. Predeceased by his wife Marion (nee Easter) Durant (May 23, 2012), son-in-law Mark Fischer (March 9, 2009), parents Acil Durant and Frances (nee Lee) Church, sister Lorraine Service and brothers Doug and Al Durant. A special thank you to the entire staff at both Saint Luke’s Place and Riverbend Retirement Residence for their loving care. The family will receive friends at the BARTHEL FUNERAL HOME, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, Ontario N3H 3J8 (519)653-3251 on Sunday, May 24, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
