He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife, Sally Ann Wehrle (nee Schneider) of 42 years, his sons Gregory (Alicia), Corey (Laura), and his 4 grandchildren Ethan, Eric, Poppy and Gus. Ron will be remembered by so my friends and family including his 5 brothers and sisters Richard (Carrie), Robert (Sharon), Gary, Teresa, and Nancy. He was predeceased by parents Robert (1971) and Helen (2008). Ron had several interests in sports, games and music. He learned to play pool at a young age and - not often admitted - would skip school to become one of the greatest pool players in Preston history. He loved to play games including Euchre, golf when able, and would love to play his chances at the casino. His favorite sports teams included the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays, and his favorite golfers included Jack and Rory. Most of all though, Ron loved music. He shared time with so many friends and family enjoying live music and listening to records in his man cave. Ron also took pride in home renovations and started his own business (under his wife's direction) over 20 years ago. He was a perfectionist and it showed in his work, wowing all of the clients that he worked for. Friends and relatives are invited to a Visitation on Friday, June 17th from 10am – 12pm at Barthel Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held the same day at 12pm at St. John’s Anglican Church (across the street from the funeral home). The church requests that all attendees wear a mask. Reception to follow at the Preston Legion Branch #126. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Many thanks to the staff at the Woodstock Hospital.
