Shirley Kublek

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends, on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at the age of 84. Cherished wife of the late Ernest Kublek. Loving mother of Kimberley (David) and Ernest. Beloved grandmother of Joshua. She will be dearly missed by Dave’s son Tony and family; her sister-in-law Bea; niece Wendy and nephew Johnny; as well as her extended family and many friends. Shirley is predeceased by her parents Ronald and Mildred MacNeil, her brother Ronald MacNeil, and her twin sister Sheila Marie MacNeil.

Shirley loved gardening, camping, and playing Bingo. She could be found dancing every Saturday night in her younger days, especially to Elvis since she was his #1 fan. She always enjoyed her Saturday shopping trips with Bea. Shirley was a proud member of the Preston Legion for 50 years. Most importantly, she was devoted to her family whom she took great pride in.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Barthel Funeral Home (566 Queenston Road, Cambridge). A Celebration of Life will follow in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
