Stephen Alexander Szeman

With sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Stephen Alexander Szeman on Friday, May 5, 2017 at the age of 70. Stephen loved to golf and he loved having a pet dog, first Bootsie, then Muffie. He was the most kind-hearted gentleman you could ever meet. As a proud member of AA, Stephen knew the value of having a support system in his community. Because of this, he was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who asked. Stephen was predeceased by his parents, Magdolna and Michael Seman, and his beloved wife Edna (February, 2015). He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his step-children, Tina (Ken) Durnford, Kim (Paul) Hardy, and Michael (Pam) Dorosh; grandchildren Anthony, Ashley, Breanne, Amber, and Anna, great-grandchildren Ruby, Dara, Alivia, Otis, and one more on the way, brothers Andrew and Joseph, sisters Helen and Mary, and many extended family members. Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation at Barthel Funeral Home on Thursday, May 11th from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the funeral home’s chapel at 2:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Cambridge & District Humane Society, the SPCA, or a charity of your choice.
