The funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Snows Church Campbellton on Wednesday at 11:00 am.

Visitation at Maher’s Funeral Home, 33 Lansdowne Street Campbellton, Tuesday from 7pm to 9pm and Wednesday from 9:30am until time of funeral.

Funeral arrangements are in the care of Maher’s Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Est décédée à l’Hôpital Régional de Campbellton, le 2 mars 2013 à l’âge de 103 ans, Madame Anita Doucet de Campbellton, épouse de feu Walter Doucet.

Les funérailles auront lieu à l’Église Notre Dame des Neiges Campbellton, mercredi à 11h00.

Visite au salon funéraire Maher, 33 rue Lansdowne Campbellton, mardi de 19h00 à 21h00 et mercredi de 9h30 jusqu’à l’heure des funérailles.

1909 - 2013

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anita Doucet (Essiembre) of the Campbellton Village Nursing Home. She passed away March 2, 2013 at the age of 103 on the Palliative Care Unit of the Campbellton Regional Hospital. She was born May 12, 1909 in Dundee NB, daughter of the late Pierre Essiembre and Marie Leclerc.

She is survived by 4 daughters Anna Essiembre (late Armand) of McLeods NB, Delima Jardine (Guy) of Saint John NB, Rita Lloyd (Claude) of Brampton Ontario and Alida “Chummy” Ward (Neil Hamilton) of Campbellton NB, 3 sisters Emerentienne Leblanc of New Richmond PQ, Delphine Caissie of St Siméon PQ and Delima Babin of Cap de la Madeleine PQ, 1 brother Edgar Essiembre of Eel River Crossing NB, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Anita was predeceased by her husband Walter, her daughter Marie Anita, her grandson Dale Jardine, her sister Lucille Leblanc, her 7 brothers Alexandre, William, Pierre, Omer, Mathieu, Edmond and Amable.

The funeral mass was held from Our Lady of Snow Church Campbellton on Wednesday March 6th at 11am. Father Claude Benoit officiating. Interment at the Parish Cemetery this spring.
