Barbara was born on November 21, 1953 in Campbellton, NB to the late Warren Aubie of Bathurst, NB and the late Eunice Welch of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Barbara worked at the Paramount Movie Theatre, Woolworth's Restaurant, Inez Restaurant and one of her first jobs back in the day was working for the City of Campbellton on the maintenance crew. In her later years Barbara worked for home health care taking care of the elderly.
Barbara loved to play games. She wore out many remote controls playing “Carrot Mania” on the satellite dish and you often could find her trying to beat her own high score at PC Man, one of the first versions of PAC-Man on the family’s antique desktop computer. She was always trying to skunk her husband Jimmy at Crib or any other game they played. She loved her CHRQ Bingo on Sundays, and her Crossword scratch tickets. Her favorite treat was a French Vanilla coffee.
Besides her husband James, she is survived by her children, daughter Tammy Lynn Aubie of Bathurst, granddaughter Mackenzie Martin (great grandchildren Zephyr James Millette and Axel Warren Leclair) son John O’Brien of Campbellton grandchildren Kaydin Bertin O’Brien, Adalyn Grace O’Brien and Phinnley Preston O’Brien.
She leaves behind her brother and sisters, nieces and nephews, brothers and sister in laws, family and friends who loved her.
Respecting the family’s wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitations at the funeral home.
