Caroline was born on July 29th, 1962 in Belleville Ontario, to the late Peter Rands and the late Gloria Rands (Pollock).
She leaves behind the love of her life, her daughter Gloria and her beloved grandson Wilder. She absolutely adored being his Grammy.
Cherished sister to the late Ross (Pam), Cynthia and Mark (Pamela).
A devoted and loving aunt , Caroline left this world in step with her beloved nephew Kyle. We like to think they are navigating this next chapter together.
She was also a wonderful and loving aunt to Peter, Jessica, the late Kristin, Melissa and Joslin, as well as many great nieces and nephews. She will be fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Caroline had a warm, bubbly, energy. Having spent most of her life in Ontario, in recent years she had followed her siblings and daughter down East, first to Nova Scotia, where she continued working for Canada Post, and finally settling in Campbellton at her daughters when her health issues no longer permitted her to keep working.
She adored her career, she enjoyed getting to know the clients and developed great friendships with her coworkers. Many who even came to visit from Ontario and Nova Scotia while she was hospitalized. To know her was to love her, if you found a friend in Caroline, you had one for life, as her closest friends know, they also made the long drive to visit her in recent months.
She has certainly left a void in the lives of all who loved her. Thank you to all who took care of her these past few months, she really enjoyed the connections she made with her health care providers, especially those on the palliative wing.
A celebration of life will be organized in Ontario at a later date.
To conclude, a quote from on of her favourite songs, Rainbow Connection.
"Someday we'll find it,
The rainbow connection,
The lovers and dreamers and me"
