Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on July 30,2023, Mrs. Charlotte Ramsay of Beaver Bank, NS formally of Campbellton, NB, wife of the late Calvin “Bucky” Ramsay. Mother and best friend to Mark (Monic), Fred (Tracy) and our beautiful Baby Ellen!
Charlotte was born on January 20, 194? in Upsalquitch to the late John Firth and the late Norena Thomas.
Mom worked as a waitress most of her life doing what made her happy, Paul’s Restaurant, The Met, and Soup N Sweets, but her true passion was being a foster parent and helping people that needed a hand up. Her first and true love was her family and friends. A house full of people whether as teenager buddies that Fred and Mark brought home or our families as we expanded our wings, it all made Mom happy! Fred and Marks friends became hers and contact remained! The house always was open and the Welcome sincere! Many a discussions around the table ended with your choice of name, Mom, Nana, Mimi, Aunty, Sis or Charlotte saying to everyone “Just Be Nice”! That’s what Mom always wanted people to be, Nice! She was!
She is survived by son Mark, two daughter in laws and best friends Monic and Tracy, Granddaughter Nathalie, Grandsons Andre, Riley, Jacob and Joshua. Also, three great granddaughters, Maeva, Ella and Charlie. Sisters Jessie (Jerry) Midland Ontario, Sharon (Phil) Moncton New Brunswick, Rick (Joanne), Niagara Falls Ontario, many nieces and nephews, and foster children, each one loved and cherished. Mom also had extended family in Prince Edward Island who have been a large part of her life! She was predeceased by her Baby Ellen, her son Fred, Husband Bucky, brothers Rod and Reggie (Shirley).
Charlotte also had two beautiful extended families from Mark’s Monic and Fred’s Tracy! The Doucet family lead by Lucille and the Miller family lead by Gary and Diane. No family gathering was just for one side for all the years all families were together, thank you to both families. A lifelong friend and special girl, Karyn Cooling who has remained a constant in Moms life.
