Deb was born on January 5, 1956 in Campbellton, Restigouche Co, New Brunswick to the late Joseph Alphee Savoie and Lorraine (Doiron) Savoie.
Debbie was a dedicated military wife who received the Commander of Air Command’s Certificate of Appreciation for her ‘devotion, unfailing support and understanding which made possible your spouse’s contribution to the Canadian Forces and the Air Force’. Deb had many jobs during the early part of her marriage, but post-retirement was an avid traveler who annually spent the January to June period in her motorhome. She and Jim annually drove to Florida and then continued travelling. Her memorable moments were Louisiana Mardi Gras, the Grand Canyon in 2008 and visiting the Alamo.
She is survived by her husband Jim, her daughter Donna Savoie and two grandchildren, Keagan and Allie Webb; her sister Judy Savoie of British Columbia, Cathy Demers (Keith) of New Jersey and Carol Dye (Tim) of Ontario.
