

Eleanor was born on December 18, 1933, in Campbellton, NB, to the late Clarence Edgar and the late Elizabeth Hamilton.
In her early years, Eleanor worked as a credit manager for several businesses. She hit her stride when she became a real estate agent in the early 1980s. She loved the work until her retirement.
Afterward, she kept busy serving on the Business and Professional Women’s Association, and the Caledonia Society. In 2016, she was honoured to receive the ‘Scott of the Year’ Award. Eleanor loved to be surrounded by all the family members, and was intentional in sending out special occasion cards to each and every one of them.
Besides her husband Josef, she is survived by her children, Terrie Chedore (Bill-deceased), Chipman Smith (Shirley), Bill Smith, daughter-in-law Therese Michaud, Carolyn Albert (Marcel), Richard Kiss (Kathy), and daughters-in-law, Nancy Aston, Kelly Whitford.
.She leaves behind her sisters Audrey Lavigne (Roger-deceased), Francis Abbott (Winston), and sister-in-law Wendy Alice Hamilton.
She leaves behind 29 beloved grandchildren and great-
randchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by siblings: Harold (Bun), Howard, Tessie Benwell, Elsie, Norman, Robert, Winston (Wendy), and grandson, Nathan Chedore.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Church in Glen Levit on Thursday, November 13, at 11:00 am, followed by a reception in the church hall.
