Mrs. Elizabeth Anne (Stewart) Pollock was born in Dalhousie, NB on February 9th, 1930. Elizabeth was the eldest child of the late Reid Stewart and the late Winnifred Anne (Miller) Stewart.
Elizabeth was a Registered nurse graduating valedictorian in 1951. She trained and worked in Montreal and Campbellton. While working at the Soldiers Memorial Hospital she met her husband, the late Allison Pollock.
She was an avid member of the United Church of Tide Head, one of the first members of the U.C.W., Honorary member of the L.O.B.A. #868 ,a member of the Tide Head Seniors Club, a member of the Hong Kong Veterans Society, as well as a member of the Genealogical Society.
She is survived by her four children, Reid Pollock (Marie) of Kingston, ON, Allan Pollock (Jacqueline) of Tide Head, NB, Anne Aubie (Pierre) of Miramichi, NB and Ellen Pollock of Toronto, ON, as well as nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her four brothers, John (Bud) Stewart (Eva) of Dalhousie, NB, Reginald Stewart (Dot) of Dalhousie, NB, William Stewart (Eva) of Sussex, NB and Gerald Stewart (Barb) of Dalhousie, NB.
Burial will be held at the Cemetery in Flatlands at 3:00 pm and will be by invitation only. A celebration of life will be held at a future date in 2021.
Visitation will be held at Maher's Funeral Home, 33 Lansdowne St., Campbellton, Monday from 1:00 to 2:30 pm and open to the public. Covid rules apply.
The family would like to thank her home-care workers, the Doctors who were wonderful and those amazing nurses on the 3rd & 4th floor who helped so much. Thank you all very much.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of your choice.
