Helen was born on June 20, 1930 in Campbellton, NB to the late Leroy Gilmore and the late Muriel MacLeod.
She leaves behind her nieces Gayle MacDonald, Susan MacDonald, Darla MacLean Audfroid (Billy), Nancy MacLean Gallie (Mike), Doris Wilson (Paul), and Charlene Thorne her nephew James (Jimmy) Gilmore, sister in Law, Barb Gray (Donald) and also many great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Vernon Gray, her son, William (Billy) Gray, her parents, Leroy Gilmore and Muriel MacLeod, her sisters, Donalda (Donnie) MacLean (Lloyd), Marguerite (Marg) MacDonald (Bud) and her brother Ronald (Ronnie) Gilmore.
Honey worked at NBIP as a secretary for many years. She loved travelling with her friends, all over the world. She also volunteered at St. John’s United Church in their thrift shop.
Honey had a wonderful sense of humor, a lively and determined spirit, and a generous heart. Visiting her was always a joy and her infectious smile will be missed. Family meant everything to her, and we know she is at peace in heaven with Billy and Vernon. It gives us comfort to imagine a family reunion where all her loved ones, who went before her, are greeting her with open arms.
Thank you to the staff at Darlington Manor and Campbellton Hospital for the wonderful care they gave her.
A Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
