Jeannette was born on November 2, 1951 in Campbellton, NB to the late Augustin Richard and to the late Marie Blanche Ella Poirier.
Jeannette retired from the Campbellton Regional Hospital CSR Department in 2006. She loved knitting, crocheting, playing bingo, cooking and spending time with family and friends. Jeannette loved to have her family over and she cherished her grandchildren.
Jeannette, a woman whose beauty, warmth, and strength touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She left us peacefully after a courageous and determined battle with cancer.
She was a truly remarkable person whose love knew no bounds. Her generosity, kindness, and ability to make everyone around her feel seen and valued were gifts she gave freely to all. She approached life with a depth of care and compassion that left a lasting impact on every person fortunate enough to cross her path.
Even in the face of adversity, Jeannette exemplified unmatched bravery. Her strength in the fight against cancer was a testament to her unwavering spirit, her fierce determination, and her unshakeable belief in the power of love. Despite the challenges she faced, she never allowed the darkness to overshadow the light she carried within.
Her laughter, her gentle touch, and her unwavering support will forever be etched in our hearts. Jeannette loved deeply—her family, her friends, and all those who knew her were the fortunate recipients of her boundless affection and loyalty.
Though we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the extraordinary person she was. Her legacy of love, compassion, and resilience will continue to inspire and guide us. The strength and warmth she embodied will remain with us forever, a guiding light that will never fade.
Jeannette is survived by her loving husband Hermini, her dear son Scott, beautiful daughter-in-law Katie, her 3 grandchildren whom she cherished – Giana, Max and Logan. Her sisters Margueritte (Roger) Ouellette, Pauline (the late John Lebrun) and her brother Albert “Bert” Richard (Bonnie) and her many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Maurice (Jeannine), Charles (the late Gerard Michaud) and her sister Irene (Ian Mitchell).
