As a lifelong resident of Campbellton, Johnny was a devoted husband and father raising his 3 children, Terry, Nancy and Ricky, with his wife Wanda. He “rode the rails” between New Brunswick and Quebec as a CNR engineer from 1942 to 1979 and saw changes from coal fired engines to diesel. Johnny enjoyed music, travelling, and outdoor sports. For 32 years, Johnny was an enthusiastic participant of the Terry Fox Run. He especially loved visits from family and friends, a comfortable ride in a good car, and a “hot cup of tea”. Later in life, nothing gave Johnny more pleasure than watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow. After his wife passed away, Johnny was blessed with the care and friendship of Barb Snow and her family to help him in his twilight years.
