Marilyn Benwell

Marilyn was born on July 17, 1946 in Campbellton to the late Emile Cavanaugh and the late Martha Comeau.

Marilyn was co-owner of Chauffage Benwell Fuels until her retirement in 1994. She loved animals and especially her cats and grandcats. She cherished her family and spared no effort when they needed help or someone to listen.

Besides her husband Michael, she is survived by her son Brian, daughter-in-law Jaime Ross and granddaughter Ora. She is also survived by her brother Alan Cavanaugh, nieces Kristie Pitre, Lana Parker, Tracy (Hubbard) Junaid, Carol (Fitzgerald) Cormier, Janet Taylor, Susan (Taylor) Bisson, Carole Cavanaugh and Diane Trepanier and nephews Ivan Pitre, David Trepanier, Denis Trepanier, Patrick Cavanaugh, Roderick Parker, Roger Cavanaugh, Marc Cavanaugh and Robert Cavanaugh Jr.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Aline Taylor, Doreen Trepanier, Margaret Fitzgerald, Gloria Parker, Marie Hubbard, Elaine Pitre, brother Robert (Bob), nephews Steven Parker and niece Judy (Parker) Gionet.

A Funeral Service will be held at Maher's Funeral Chapel, 64 Lansdowne St., Campbellton on Tuesday, December 23, at 11:30 am.

The family will welcome friends and family at Maher’s Funeral Home, 33 Lansdowne street in Campbellton on Monday, December 22 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
