Richard was born on January 19, 1973, in Campbellton, NB to the late Ronald Jacques and Shirley Isaac.
Richard worked as an ironworker for many years in the United States for Local 7 union. He loved to exercise his Native Rights by fishing every summer for Salmon, and spending time in the woods either hunting or harvesting trees for lumber. He ran a small lumber business in the early 2000s and also worked as a carpenter and in Public Works in Listuguj. Everyone knew Richard as a jokester and enjoyed a good laugh. He liked to live life by his own rules.
He is survived by his partner Melissa Arsenault, his mother Shirley Isaac, and children, Faith Larocque, Ivy Jacques-Larocque, Raina Jacques-Larocque, Richie Jacques, 2 grandchildren Sunnie and Stormie Larocque as well as his siblings, Paul (Delphine), Roland (June), Caroline, Walter and many nieces and nephews along with great nieces and great nephews.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by his brother Rodney Jacques.
Respecting his wishes there will be a private family service at the gravesite.
