Frank Leonard Feuerhelm Jr.

Frank Leonard Feuerhelm, Jr was born on October 19, 1927 in Dallas Texas. He died peacefully on April 22, 2022 in the care of Hospice of East Texas in Tyler after a brief stay. Frank joined the Merchant Marines just shy of his 16th birthday and followed his father’s footsteps in construction. In his later work years, he opened his own concrete business where his son joined him in the family business. He was an avid bowler in his younger years and enjoyed gambling, fishing and gardening during his retirement.

Frank is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Barbara Helen Feuerhelm. He continued to live independently in the home they built at Lake Palestine until his passing. He is also preceded in death by his father, Frank L. Feuerhelm, Sr., his mother Chlora Feuerhelm, brother Garth Feuerhelm, sister Edna Covington and sister Laura Butler.

He is survived by his children Debbie Reaves (Ron) of Royse City, TX; Sheri Bohnemann (Ed) of Plano TX; Sandy Schlemer (Mike) of Carrollton, TX; and Randy Feuerhelm (Regina) of Chandler, TX. His grandchildren, Angela Austin of Frisco, TX; Ryan Feuerhelm (Mindy) of Denton, TX; and Chase Schlemer (Chloe) of Lake Park, FL will miss him deeply. He also has 2 great-granddaughters, Harper and Indie Schlemer.

Frank was a hard working provider, often working multiple jobs to see that his family had what they needed. He was mentor and best friend. We will miss him dearly.

A visitation for Frank will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Metrocrest Funeral Home, 1810 N PERRY RD, CARROLLTON, TX 75006. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Restland Memorial Park, 13005, Dallas, TX 75243.
