

Fred was born on July 25, 1940, to Frederick Fry Sr and Jaqueline Moore Fry in Verona, New Jersey. After graduating from Florida’s Clearwater High School in 1959, Fred served three years in the US Army and was stationed in France.
In 1959 Fred met Patricia Louise Shannon on a blind date in Denville, New Jersey and wed on August 24, 1963, they would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary next month.
Although Fred was employed by RCA in Somerville, New Jersey for 15-20 years his passion in life was being a Volunteer Fireman. He joined the Cranberry Lake/Byram Township Volunteer Fire Department in New Jersey in 1969, where he served not only as a firefighter, Fire Chief, department President but also as a police and fire dispatcher. He remained a faithful member until relocating to Texas in 1984.
Upon moving to Texas, Fred worked as a teacher in the electronics and technology field until his retirement in 2012. After retiring, Fred became a volunteer for the Carrollton Citizens Patrol, where he received Volunteer of the Quarter, for the 4th quarter of 2015.
Fred was predeceased by his father, Frederick E Fry Sr, mother Jaquelin Moore Fry, brother Frank & wife Linda Fry, and his sister Helen & husband Charles Myers.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Shannon Fry, his children Peggy and husband Frank Sedner, Freddy Fry, Mary Lee Fry Watkins, Jason & wife Cindy Fry. His grandchildren Brittany & husband Jason Knight, Sandra Sedner, Karen & husband Abbe Stoltzfus, Michael Fry, Nathan Watkins, Blade & wife Meghan Sedner, and Byram Fry. His great grandchildren Jacob, Joshua, and Justin Knight, Marley Pierson, Bryleigh, Jay and Deja Stoltzfus, Madelyn and Waylon Fry.
There will be no funeral service at the request of the beloved Frederick E. Fry Jr.
The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the Byram Township Volunteer Fire Department in Byram Township New Jersey in Frederick E Fry Jr’s name.
