Grace Cassady was born July 24th, 1943 to George Walton and Gwendolyn Eileene Blakley in Fort Worth, Texas. Grace left her earthly home on September 27, 2020 to receive her eternal reward with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Grace was a member of West Freeway Church of Christ and loved life and all those she encountered. She sacrificed so much in life to make sure others did not go without. Grace loved to watch her Dallas Cowboys no matter how they played. She enjoyed traveling and everything to do with the ocean.
Grace married the love of her life, John Cassady in 1990. Grace graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Social Work Degree, and worked for the City of Fort Worth until her retirement in 2008. During her time at the City of Fort Worth, Grace served many in need and showed Christ through her job and life. She committed her life to Christ and led by example. After retirement, Grace spent much of her time enjoying her grandkids and attending their activities. Nothing pleased her more than seeing her kids and grandkids excel in life.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, George Walton and Gwendolyn Eileene Blakley.
Grace is survived by her husband of 30 years John Cassady; her children: Scott Cassady and wife Allison of Edmond, OK, Greggory Cassady and wife April of Bangs, TX, Matthew Cassady of Azle, TX, Rebecca Connor and husband Michael of Fort Worth, TX, and Hayden Cassady of Azle, TX; her Grandchildren: Cheyenne, Lacie and husband Chris, Raygan, Rachel, Matthew Jr., Jackson, Taylor, Leo, Annie, Zane, Wesley and Zacari; Great Granddaughter: Lillian; Nephews: Johnathan and Marc Ellis as well as many other nieces, nephews, family, and friends that all loved her dearly.
