Michael was born on March 31st 1941 to Stella M & Michael Kiro in Hartford Connecticut and lived out his young adult life with his Parents and his only Brother, Richard J. Kiro in East Hartford Connecticut.
In 1966 he got married and remained in East Hartford with his Young Family until 1978 when he uprooted his Family and moved to the Great State of Texas and that is where he spent the remainder of his Life.
Michael worked for Northrup Grumman for many years until his retirement in January 2011 where he was a B1 & B2 Bomber Inspector.
He was an Avid Classic Car Collector and his love for cars was deeply rooted in his Heart & Soul ~ wherever he was, whatever he was doing, it always involved cars!!
Bright and Shiny to Dull and Broke-down ~ he had a Passion that ran Deep!
In the very beginning of his car collecting days he would buy broke down cars from the junk yards or someone’s backyard and fix them up like they had just come off the showroom floor, sell them and move on to the next one!! He then decided that was too much Damn Work so he started buying them already fixed up and then he added his own Bells & Whistles, Horns and Hooplas, Brightest Colors and he gave it that the Kiro Touch!!
He won awards at every single car show he attended, he always had the Best of the Best and every single person that new Michael knows….
He is Somewhere Driving that One and Only, that One he couldn’t quite find until Now, His Forever Car!!
Michael leaves behind three grown children, Kimberly Ann Thompson, Laurie Lynn Wilson and Michael James Kiro, Jr. as well as 5 Grandchildren, Alexis M. Hournasidis, Sage L. Wilson, Faith E. Wilson, Kendall R. Kiro, Kason L. Kiro and his Life Partner, Patricia M. Wiseman.
He will be deeply missed by All who knew him, East Coast to West Coast, Up North to the Deep South ~
Michael James Kiro…….You Will Be Deeply Missed by Every One of Us!!
Until We Meet Again, We Love You
