Trish was born in Tulsa, Ok. on October 24th 1966 to Charles Melton & Nora Sue Eller. She graduated from Longview High and continued education and received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from University of Texas at Arlington. Trish was married to Camilla on March 12th 2016 and together for 20 years.
Trish worked as a Code Enforcement Officer for over 25 years for several cities before retiring in 2023 from the Town of Prosper, Tx. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, golf, & restoring trinkets from days gone by. She loved celebrations of any type. She enjoyed the annual trips with Family & Friends to Scarborough Fair dressed as a pirate and the Irish Festival wearing her Green Hat with her beautiful auburn hair. The past several years she hosted a Memorial Day celebration and always raised a Flag on the 4th of July. She was always eager to do her part to make America Great! Thanksgiving she would always fry at least one turkey but most often two and would dress as the Grinch for the Christmas party at work. She enjoyed the family poker game any time we got together. Growing up in East Texas, she was always wanting to go with Dad to the farm to check the cows, mostly because she loved to pick the pingpong ball sized blackberries from the vine, or net crawdads in the creeks. She enjoyed the family trips to the coast where the annual sunburn would occur, fishing the surf or the jetties, building sandcastles, playing frisbee, or body surfing on the waves. I guess that’s where her love for Salmon came to be. She also loved the family trips to the Illinois river to float in the canoe and fish instead of paddling of course as well as the occasional trip to the old town of Ellerville just off the beaten path. Of course she loved her trips to Mexico, Cruises, Melissa Ethridge concerts, as well as seeing Jelly Roll. Again, did I mention she loved to fish. When she wasn’t fishing, bowling, golfing, etc, she was working hard one project or another. Growing up she was often with Dad mending fences and feeding or medicating cows. Building a fence with Grandad always required a watermelon break and an occasional chew of his tobacco. That building and mending is what brought her to enjoy fixing up old rusted items she would find and bringing them back to life. Her love for animals was always there. Whether her dog Aries or cat Mazie or the many she had through the years to the pony she talked the neighbor out of, she loved them all. Not much, though, could keep her from watching the Cowboys whoop up on their competition on Sunday afternoon, yes they used to win all of the time. She knew every year since then that they would win the Super Bowl again. She never gave up on that. She was a Unique and Loving person and if you knew her you too felt the love she had to share, the devotion she gave to a relationship, and the drive she had in her heart.
Trish is preceded in death by her Father Charles Melton & his wife Mary Ann Eller, her Mother Nora Sue & husband Joe Fraschetti, Sister Kelly Nutt.
