Mr. Robert Arthur Minor

Bob graduated from East High School 1957 in Denver, Colorado. After graduating high school he joined the Air Force where he served four years. He attended college at Texas A&M and El Centro Colleges where he majored in Fire Protection Technology and he received numerous awards and certificates.

Bob was in the fire service for 37 years were he served in Lompoc, California, Farmers Branch, Texas and as Fire Chief in Addison, Texas. The last 12 years of his career he worked as a fire investigator for Investigative Consultants in Arlington, Texas until he retired in 2009.

He was a member of Central Park Baptist Church in Carrollton, Texas and Nash Baptist Church in Texarkana, Texas for many years before moving to Arlington, Texas in 1994.

Bob was an avid photographer and he loved taking photos of his family, church events and the fire departments he worked in.

Bob was a quiet, gentle man that didn't have much to say unless it was about his family or fire department.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence (Babe) Minor, His mother Vivian (Riddle) Minor, stepmother Alyce Minor and his son Steven Minor.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Wanda Minor, and children Robert Minor, Davis, California and Sarita and Husband Mark Barthel, Arlington, Texas. Grandchildren Chris and Andrew Martin, Zachary, Christian and Jonathan Shesler, Annika and Ashley Minor. His Brother Richard (Dick) Minor, Loveland, Colorado.

As well as his wife's family, the Bunch and Brooks families, whom he loved dearly and who loved him dearly.
