Roberta (Bobbi) Ann Wolfe, age sixty, passed away in the Vitas Hospice, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, in Carrollton, Texas.
After declining health from complications with diabetes and pancreatic cancer, Bobbi crossed over to Eternal Peace late in the evening on Mother's Day, May 14, 2017. She was a resident of Irving, Texas for the past eleven years. She also lived in the Kansas City area, Chicago, Illinois, Wilson, North Carolina, Clarksburg, West Virginia, and Ohio during her lifetime.
She is survived by Chris Lane Wolfe, her husband of nearly twenty-three years. She leaves behind one daughter, Joanna (Marie) Casto Perkins, her son-in-law Stanley Dennis Perkins, III, and a three year old grandson, Nolan Stanley Perkins (all of Seven Lakes, North Carolina). Nolan was her pride and joy.
Bobbi is also survived by her mother, Sharon (Ann) Riley Cloud, and her siblings: Jeffrey John Cloud, Deborah “Debbie” (Lynn) Cloud Peedin, her brother-in-law Steven Ryals Peedin, Douglas Paul Cloud, and her sister-in-law Molly Ogburn Cloud (all of whom live in North Carolina). She also has family-in-law on Chris's side in Maryland and Pennsylvania who will miss her very much. Bobbi was predeceased by her father, Robert “Bob” Knowlen Cloud and her brothers Gregory Alan Cloud and Samuel Joseph Cloud; she felt their presence as she passed on to Heaven.
Bobbi was born on February 4, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio, to father Robert Knowlen Cloud and mother Sharon (Ann) Riley Cloud. She grew up in a large, boisterous family with one sister and four brothers, many loyal dogs, and was involved in several boating and Scouting adventures.
Roberta Ann Cloud was a graduate of the University of Ohio in Athens, Ohio, with a degree in Organizational Communications. She was an educator at heart; she served public school systems in Wilson, North Carolina, Chicago, Illinois, and Olathe, Kansas. Bobbi was a driven professional with a secret love of romance novels and very obvious love of party planning. She instilled her love of reading, teaching, theatre, and friendship in her daughter, Joanna. Bobbi loved the dramatic arts. She appeared in a film with Michelle Pfeiffer (“Love Field”) and was recognized with a local Emmy for her contributions to education for the television arts and sciences in Chicago. Nothing could stand in her way of seeing the Academy Awards presented each year. Bobbi also loved the beach, so much so that it was the deciding factor in choosing the house she most recently lived in with Chris in North Texas; there is a palm tree in the back yard. Bobbi remained wild at heart and rife with her sense of humor, even throughout her final months.
It was Bobbi’s wish not to have any formal services after her death. A tribute reception celebration will be held in her honor at Fish City Grill, 7750 N. MacArthur Blvd., Irving, Texas, 75063, on Sunday, May 21, 2017, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. She will be cremated with some remains scattered on Palm Beach, Aruba in July 2017.
Interment will be at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Kingston, Ohio on September 30, 2017, at 1:00 PM. All are welcome.
