Mrs Vearley Faye Lewis Elliott

Vearley Elliott of Carrollton, Texas passed away peacefully on March 8, 2015 at the age of 80, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother & great-great-grandmother. Vearley was born in Denton County, Texas on January 10, 1935. She resided in Carrollton for the past 70 years where she & her late husband, Joe Dean Elliott, raised their family. She started her professional career at Texas Instruments where she then retired after 39 years to then become employed at the Walmart Mail Order Pharmacy for 15 years prior to her death.

Being a warrior for Christ at Northside Baptist Church for 54 years, she took many under her wings, nurturing them with loving concern, teaching scripture and prayer. The loss of her deep devotion will be keenly felt by each of us. She was preceded in death by her parents Vearley & Iona Lewis, husband Joe Dean Elliott, and sister Virginia Skinner. Vearley was survived in death by sisters: her twin Edna Elliott & Johnnie Pyle, children: daughter Jackie & husband Leonard Cross, eldest son Johnny & wife Michelle Elliott, youngest son Gary & wife Janet Elliott, 6 grandchildren: Joey & wife Jill Cross, James Weldon, Brad Elliott, Lindsey Elliott, Jeremy Elliott & Jacob Elliott, 6 great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn Cross, Sara Cross, Kelsie Cross, Hannah Elliott, Cason Cross & Colton Elliott, and 2 great-great-grandchildren: Lilly Anne Case & Evelyn Claire Rosa and many family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, March 12th, 2015 at Northside Baptist Church with Brother Mark Dallalio officiating. Burial will be at Hilltop Cemetery in Carrollton, Texas. Family will receive visitors Wednesday, March 11th, 2015 from 6:30-8:30 pm at Northside Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Northside Baptist Church Youth Summer Camp.
