Anita Samaniego Angel

Anita Samaniego Angel died at 3:15 p.m. in her home surrounded by those who loved and adored her. She was born in Las Animas, Colorado November 19, 1943 to Raymond and Bicente "Bessie" Samaniego. She married Leroy Angel on August 18, 1962.In addition to her husband of 56 years, also surviving her are herdaughter, Maria Denise Angel and Benjamin Alfonso Angel, both ofTucson, AZ. Anita had four grandchildren, Benjamin Armando Angelof Tucson, AZ, Shania Daisy Marie Angel of La Junta, Colorado,Anna Marie Angel of La Junta, Colorado and Hailey Adela Angel ofCasa Grande, AZ. Anita also had one great-granddaughter, IsabellaRosalie-Juanita Angel of La Junta, Colorado. Anita is also survived by her siblings, Raymond Samaniego of Santa Fe, NM, Bobby (Cathy) Samaniego of Las Animas, Colorado, Donnie Samaniego of Guadalajara, Mexico, Carol (Phil) Maestas of Henderson, Nevada, and Bojie (Greg) Samaniego-Armstrong of Tempe, Arizona. Anita shared a special bond with her many nieces and nephews.Anita’s parents, Raymond and Bessie Samaniego, and her first bornchildren, Leroy Don Angel and Anna Marie Angel preceded her indeath.Anita was a long-time resident of Casa Grande, Arizona where shelived since leaving her childhood home in Las Animas, Colorado.Anita loved singing in the coro at St. Anthonys of Padua CatholicChurch and was part of the Sociedad De El Sagrado Corazon De Jesusin Galisteo, New Mexico. Anita loved being with her family, dancing, and spending time at the casino.A Rosary will be held at 10:00 a.m. with a Mass following at 10:30a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at St. Anthony of Padua CatholicChurch.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Saint Anthony’s Catholic School in her memory.
