Dorothy Jean Capell, age 94 of Casa Grande, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 8, 2024 in Chandler, Arizona. Dorothy was born on September 27, 1929 in Haskell, Oklahoma to Ben & Emma Barnett. On November 16, 1946 she married the love of her life, William D. Capell. They were married 62 years until his passing in 2008. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and taking leisurely walks.
Dorothy is survived by her son, William D. Capell Jr., and her daughter Barbara Jean Capell, both of Casa Grande. Also survived by two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William, five sisters and two brothers.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:00a.m on Friday March 22, 2024 at J Warren Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held immediately following the service on the Gardens Chapel grounds in the Memory Reception building. All are invited.
