

It is with a heavy heart that weshare the loss of our dad-tataand dear friend, Mr. JoeKakar, who passed awaypeacefully, surroundedby family, on January29, 2018, at St. Joseph’sSelect Specialty Hospital inPhoenix, AZ.Joe was born September26, 1931, in Casa Grande,AZ. As a young boy, he andhis family would migrate over thesummer to pick fruits and harvest fields throughout Arizonaand California. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on July 21, 1950,and was a proud RA Engineer who served during the KoreanWar. Upon receiving his Honorable Discharge from the Army,Joe returned to Casa Grande and his passion for workingthe land. He was a savvy businessman who prospered as acustom harvester, farmer and cattle rancher. Joe will foreverbe remembered as a generous man with a hardworking ethic,being a smooth dancer, a good ole boy, and a great familyman!Joe is survived by his loving wife, Leona, and their children:Charles Carlyle, Nancy Carlyle, Carla Carlyle, Raychel Peters(Cecil), Ann Marie Antone and Susana Andaverde of Maricopa;Frances Kakar, Cecilia Davis (Eddie), Delsey Kinnard (Bill),Joseph Kakar (Delaine), Gregory Kakar, Thomas Kakar, AdelitaNu�ez and Anita Zapata of Casa Grande; Denise Goins (Bert)of Show Low and Jackie Farrington of Louisiana; his siblings,Carmelita Kakar of San Jose, California, Raymond Kakar Sr.and Margaret Trinklein of Casa Grande; 52 grandchildren, 81great-grandchildren and countless nephews and nieces.Joe was preceded in death by his father, Mike Singh Kakarand mother, Ignacia Dagon; his daughters, Teresa Delsi andJoeann Huskey; his sister, Minnie Kakar; and brothers, Carlos,Abraham, Mike Sr., Johnny and Liberty Kakar.Services for Joe will begin on Thursday,February 8, 2018, at 5:30 pm, with a Rosary atSt. Francis of Assisi Catholic Mission in Ak-ChinIndian Community, Maricopa, AZ, followed bya Wake Service beginning at 7:00 pm at theKakar Residence in Maricopa, AZ. On Friday,February 9, 2018, Mass will be held at 8:00am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Churchin Casa Grande, AZ. Final Resting Place will beMt. View Cemetery in Casa Grande, AZ.
