Richard Alvarez Sr., 53, of Casa Grande died on Sept. 24, 2011, in Casa Grande.The celebration of life will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Mountain View Chapel.Mr. Alvarez was born on Aug. 25, 1958, in Sacaton. He was a groundsman for the San Carlos Irrigation Project. He loved going places with his motorcycle and going on long rides with his buddies. His children and grandchildren were most important to him, and he made an effort to share moments with everyone he knew. He enjoyed working to support his family and was very helpful. Survivors include three daughters, Rachel, Blanca and Lupia Alvarez, all of Casa Grande; a son, Richard "Fatboy" Alvarez Jr. of Casa Grande; his mother, Hazel Gonzalez of Casa Grande; three sisters, Rosalyn and Veronica Alvarez of Midland, Texas, and Luz Alvarez of Casa Grande; five brothers, Raymond Alvarez of ChuiChu, Thomas Alvarez, Monico Alvarez Jr., George Alvarez and Jesus Gonzales Jr., all of Casa Grande; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah M. Enos; a sister, Monica Alvarez; his father, Monico Alvarez Sr.; and his stepfather, Jesus Gonzalez Sr.
