Rita loved going to blues music festivals and enjoyed watching her beloved San Francisco Giants baseball team and San Francisco 49ers football team. She also loved all animals, especially her cats. Sue also enjoyed bird watching, and always was overjoyed when she would see a falcon or eagle. Sue was an amazing sister. She loved her family so much and would do anything she could to make sure they were happy and cared for.
She is survived by her son, Don Joseph; step-sons, Scott & Shane Johnson; sisters, Nancy Duran of San Jose, CA; Elaine Miller of Castle Rock, CO; Judy Chavez of Arizona City, AZ; Donna Lara of Sant Nella, CA; and Deborah Bergquist of Kansas City, MO; granddaughters, Haley & Lily Essex both of Rapid City, SD. Also survived by special friends and companions, July Babb Miele (DeeDee); Sylvia Garza; Danica Rose and Brigette Silas Preceded in death by her husband, Jack Johnson; parents, Donald and Patricia Bergquist and numerous other family members. No formal services are planned at this time. A celebration of her life will be announced at a future date.
