BAPCHULE — Robert James Lopez, 53, of Bapchule died on June 6, 2013, at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.The wake will begin at 6 p.m. today at the District 3 Service Center. The graveside service will be at 7 a.m. Thursday in East Sacaton Cemetery.Mr. Lopez was born on June 3, 1960, in Sacaton. He worked in maintenance at Gila Crossing Community School. He was a carpenter and enjoyed making furniture, and he played on and coached the Renegades volleyball team.Survivors include two daughters, Vanessa Lopez of Bapchule and Valerie Lopez of Komatke; two sons, Daniel Johns of Sacaton and Jaysen Lopez of Casa Blanca; his mother, Jeanette R. Lopez of Bapchule; two sisters, Sylvia Lopez-Nieto and Gloria Hernandez of Porterville, Calif.; a brother, Vincent Lopez of Porterville; and five grandchildren.
