Lifetime resident of Chehalis passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 15th, 2016.
Byron was born in Chehalis on July 7, 1931 to Homer and Marietta (Morris) Borovec.
He graduated in 1949 from high school in Chehalis where he played football. He attended Centralia College prior to enlisting in the Navy in January of 1951 where he proudly served on the USS Boxer during the Korean War.
In 1955, Byron with his brother Harold started Central Fuel delivery coal through out Lewis County. In 1990, after selling the business to their sons, Byron worked for Central Reddi Mix until his retirement.
In June of 1956, he married Irene Snaza and had 2 children.
Byron is survived by his son Michael (Carolyn) Borovec, daughter Teresa Larson, brother Harold Borovec, 5 grandchildren and 12 great grand children.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene, in 2009 and his brother, Duane Borovec.
