She graduated from W.F. West High School in Chehalis, earned a teaching degree and later completed her master’s degree in psychology. Carol loved working with children and adults and had a rare gift for being open, genuine and sharing her soul with others. She appreciated the uniqueness of others and gave 100% — and more — to the people she served. She was deeply loved by both her clients and colleagues.
Carol was happily married to Norman Lee Vogel for nearly 34 years. Together, they shared a love of custom cars, camping and their beloved dog, Sirus.
Her sister, Connie Wesson, was her best friend and sidekick, and the two shared many adventures. Her parents, Donald and Debbie Wesson, were blessed not only to be her parents, but also her close friends. Carol will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Carol loved her family, her friends and her four-legged family. She loved flowers, glitter, Harry Potter, watching boats on the river, flying kites, sparkly jewelry and, most of all, she loved her life.
A celebration of life will be held at the Chehalis Eagles on Feb. 21, 2026, from 3 to 6 p.m.
Guests are encouraged to come as their most unique selves.
