

Chris Rasmusson of Chehalis passed away on May 25, 2015. Chris was born May 17, 1949 in Vancouver, Washington to Adrian and Marjorie Rasmusson. The family moved to Chehalis in 1959, where Chris graduated from W.F. West High School in 1967 and married Vickey Chapman in 1968. Except for five years in Alaska during the pipeline boom, they stayed in Chehalis and raised their two daughters Kimber and Heather. Chris started his life’s work in the early seventies in the parts department at Floes, Inc. in Chehalis. He worked for Carrington Company and Lynnwood Equipment in Anchorage Alaska and the U-Joint under the previous owner from 1979 until he started C.R. Parts, a heavy equipment, truck, and industrial parts house in Chehalis in 1991. Chris was appreciative of his employees, customers, and friends for their support and humor over the years.
Chris is survived by two daughters; Kimber Texidor (Shawn Smerski) of Aberdeen and Heather Brown (Scott) of Kalama; two brothers, Mike Rasmusson of Lacey and Alan Rasmusson of Centralia; a sister-in-law Diane Ramusson of Chehalis; a grandson Brad Texidor of Tacoma, a granddaughter Kaylee Peterson (Boston) of Longview and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is planned for June 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Sticklin Funeral Chapel in Centralia. A reception will follow at Riverside Golf Course in Chehalis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chehalis Foundation Scholarships in care of Linda Smith at 872 S.E. Evergreen Drive, Chehalis, WA 98532.
