Eugene David Allie

Eugene David Allie, 86, of Centralia, Wash., passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, after celebrating a lovely birthday with his family. Eugene was born to Joseph William and Bertha (Sauter) Allie at The Dalles, Ore. on February 19, 1933. He served our country with the United States Coast Guard from the time of the Korean War to retirement. He married his sweetheart, LaVera (Duran) Allie in Chehalis, Wash. on January 5, 1957, and the two spent much of their younger years traveling. Eugene enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He spent a lot of time dancing at the Senior Center by the Fairgrounds, and enjoyed gardening and bird watching whenever he could. Eugene is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, LaVera; daughter, Sharolynn Allie; his brothers, Gordon, Leon, and Joseph Allie; and his parents. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Trudy (Roger) Johnson; grandchildren, Steven and Allie Jo; great- grandchildren, Caitlin, Hannah, Kyler, Ian, and Dominic; sisters, Sharon Grant and Joann Bridges; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. Interment took place at Grand Mound Cemetery in Rochester, Wash. A Celebration of Eugene’s Life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 30, at the Twin City Senior Center, 2545 N National Avenue, Chehalis.
