James Lee Springer, 35, passed away on December 22, 2012 at St. Peters Providence Hospital Olympia, Washington. He was born in Edmonds Washington on August 1st, 1977 to Melvin and Marjorie Springer then attended school at Sultan Elementary, Sultan Middle School, and Centralia High School. He was considered a “Jack of All Trades” working for many different companies throughout the years Les Schwab, Fred’s Discount Tires, Ernie's Rapid Lube, Opus Painting, Patriot Motors, Sharp Brothers, Gill Construction, Cascade Concrete Industries Inc., as well as being self employed with three businesses of his own J.S. Automotive Services, Warp Drive, and Springer Logging. He had a gift of “horse trading” and could get anything needed with a trade or two.
James was a workaholic and a very caring individual who would be the 1st to help you in your time of need, be you family, friend, or someone he just met on the street. He would truly give you the shirt off his own back if you needed it and go without. He would never let a child go without and had many a “lil buddy” wanting to take a ride in James’s big truck throughout his life. He loved to cheer on his niece at her sporting events or concerts and would find the time to show up when no one else could. To his Nephew, he is his Hero, always wanting to be like Uncle James. He was a strong willed individual who spoke his mind and would tell you straight up how he saw things even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear. He personally took time to ensure his grandmother had enough fire wood each winter. James had many friends which became his extended family of brothers and sisters which he cared for them all. He loved 4x4’ing and “mudding”, restoring old classic cars and trucks, car shows, the “Rod Run” at Long Beach, going for long rides on his Harley, and boating on the lakes. Never turned down an invite to a Barbecue with friends and family. He was a member of the Abate motorcycle club and went on several toys-for-tots motorcycle run in the fall.
He is survived by his parents Melvin and Marjorie Springer, his two brothers Charles and Paul Springer, his sister in-law Carla Springer, his nieces Talisha Vogal, Saige Springer, Ella Wilkins and his nephew Jace Springer. He is also survived by his Grandmother Lorena Mann, and many Uncles, Aunts, and cousins. James touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by those who loved him.
